Life doesn’t always go as planned. The year twenty-twenty was supposed to be my golden year. That year marked the end of my scholarly endeavors as a student and was supposed to bring hope of a new reality with endless opportunities and new career goals to pursue. What followed that year, of course, was misery, confusion and an abundance of questions. As someone who has survived the pandemic because of security and loving friends and family, I am lucky and grateful, but I can also acknowledge that I was more mentally lost than I had ever been in my entire life. All of my anticipation, ambition and drive to start a new journey slowly dissipated in the long months staying indoors. Even now, writing this in twenty-twenty one, I am finally picking up the pieces and the idea to start this blog was an exceptional choice.

I am just a young man from New Jersey with a family that immigrated from the island of Jamaica and ever since I was a kid I had always been captivated by art and creative writing. I love writing so much that I decided to major in English and get a BA at Rutgers University – Newark. Now as much as I enjoyed analyzing Chauser, Shakespeare, and Homer, my love for what I like consuming the most came back to reading about entertainment, video game and film news. From current trending topics, to the ever-growing Esports space, I love all of it and this love gave me clarity for what I want to do with my life!
